Nothing much that i could remember accept that i was born to be the cheers and happiness in my family

I became somewhat, a little rascal. Rebelling here and there, only to be stopped by my mom’s screams. She spanked me some manners so that I would grow up a gentlemen.

Entered my first academic year, the kindergarten. Still no worries in life, days go by quickly with hundreds of toys. I’ve always stepped up for being class leaders.

People started to ask my ambition, of what I want to be when I grew up. I told them that I wanna be a pilot, but my dad convinced me otherwise to be the Malaysian prime minister.

I was admitted into a special class for bright students. I have always dreamed of being a top student, thinking that one day I would go overseas. Made me proud all over, caused me C’s and D’s all over again and again.

A revolution happened in me, I repented and started praying 5 times a day. God blessed me with all A’s in PMR. Alhamdulillah. He has shown his miracles and i promised to stay virtue to him forever.

My parent dream came true, I was accepted into Malay College Kuala Kangsar. They say that this is where Malaysian politicians always came from.

Unfortunately being selected for PKN(Malaysia kinda Military Summer Camp). I joined in as a child and came out matured…I think..

Received the news, JPA sponsoring me to USA. It didn’t feel like a dream anymore, not as fun as a dream. Still was happy, just that I wasn’t expecting the weirdness of not jumping around.

Arrived in America. Absorbing the culture shocks. I had nightmares about these culture shocks, but not as scary. Still was a bit timid, just that I wasn’t expecting the calmness of freaking out.

I was chosen to go into PAU(Perhimpunan Agong UMNO). Spoke to ministers, shake hands with the prime ministers and mingle with politicians.

Now

Still studying in US. Taking bachelor degree in civil engineering and Master’s degree in Construction Management. Grown a bit tired and wondering on making real money.

20 years in the future

Wow…Imagine in my first 20years of my life, I have done things that begins with my dreams and also hopes from others. Imagine what I could continue on doing for the next 20years if I start dreaming again. Perhaps I could really be the Malaysian Prime Minister at that time, or if god wills it, I might just be a bum. Whatever it is, I must always stay faithful to Allah because He is the one that set my path until today, and He’ll continue on guiding my souls without breaking a sweat! InsyaAllah everything will be for my best.

Is it just me or does everybody think that my face is too bloody innocent for the most of you to punch on??

No seriously! I’m not posting a freakin angry blog here but just out of curiosity, does my face really sent out some kind of vibes to you readers out there that somehow tells you that my face is so…gullible??

I have some serious issues here, REALLY… Don’t get me wrong thinking that i’m not grateful enough with god-given blessings… Take this issue as one of the ordinary complaint that just require other people opinions.

So here’s the stories that lead to my face case…

First of all, my friends and colleague that’s studying with me in Stevens. Most of them would come to me if they need some small favors like… picking up things, delivering messages among ourselves, planning trips to the grocery shops, providing courtesy to visitors, etc. All of them are small small favors that i really have no problem helping out once in a while. However the problem here comes when they constantly come back to me for helping like EVERYTIME when there’s small things needed to be done. I mean..why me?? what about that guy next door that’s watching youtube all the time?? What?! Is it because of my face that’s telling you “Hi, if you need anything at all just ask me OK?”. Demnit face! Don’t do that!!

Second, about all the uncle and aunty that live close to my college. If there’s any request, messages, or event that’s needed to be forwarded to my friends here in my campus, i’m the first one that they’ll pick! Well not always but most of the times. Sometimes those uncle and aunty even make it sounds so urgent that i felt extremely obliged to get it done right away hence leaving my utmost priority on homeworks being left out just like that. Again, why me?? Aren’t there any other students here that couldn’t possibly help out the same favor? Is it my face again that give it out?? Did it says “Hey! pick me pick me!”. Demnit face! Stop it!

Ok last situation where i really confirm that my face has to be responsible with all of this conspiracies. In any busride, anywhere that i sat that has no one sitting beside me(double seat), and when the bus gets crowded and there’s no empty double seat, then eventually there’d bound to be a person that will choose to sit beside me first! What the heck! why don’t you sit in front where there’s a lot of space on other empty seat?? Did you come into the bus and already see my face at the back and decided to go straight on to sit next to me?? Is it my face again that shouted “Hey there yoohoo! sit besides me! i’m too nerdy-looking and i wont bite you!”. Shit…

So how about it guys? Take a good look at my face, and tell me… is it bitchin at you saying “Hi! My name is ‘Much-Friendly-Face’ and your wish is my command?”.

Among many friends that spiced up my life, Azrina Noor a.k.a The Drop Dead Gorgeous is for one has unique characteristic that’s hard to ignore. She’s exactly like Amy Mastura(Malaysia famous artist) in one of her movie. Pardon me for forgetting the title but in that movie, Amy Mastura plays the role of a young rebellious girl who seeks freedom in her life and following her own dreams. She has such wild attitude at first and find herself difficult to ever be graceful until one day she stumble upon a humble guy who has unlimited values of patience. So Azrina Noor is exactly like Amy Mastura just that she has yet to meet the right humble guy.

I adore her life. She was such a naive village girl back then when i first met her. But not anymore! She took that one leap of faith to embrace the world’s challenge. She took that one road not taken by many others. She went to the big city with almost nothing but her courage and a bit of helps from close ones just to start off. Though all alone and sad, she faced everything with perseverance, swallowed all complications, confronted problems one at a time, survived and continue on living to experience many foes to come. I envy such a life. An independent life that can offer one with unlimited possibilities, self-exploration that can open our heart to the world.

The best of luck to Azrina Noor. She is still so young and the world won’t be so easy regardless of age. So gather up our strength and may we survive the trials that the world could offer!

p/s: We’re just good friends!

What’s so unique in my bangles compared to others similar products??

Well i got a bunch of stories, just for the sake of writing stuff here and also for…APPEALING

First it’s about my dad’s friends that has been complaining about his stomach ache, and then my dad gave him one of his magnetic bangles. Guess what?! Yea2 you thought about it already because it couldn’t be more obvious, the stomach ache gone!

But wait! Here’s my story that somehow made a believer out of me! My groupmate was complaining about her several months headache and i lend her my bangle for a day and guess what! She came to me the next day and happily told me that she has been waking up every night because of her headache but that night she woke up only because she wanted to answer nature’s call! So she’s still holding on to my bangle till today without paying me but what the heck, as long as she’s happy with her headache gone!

Well enough rumors! For those who doesn’t know the hype about magnetic bangles, here’s what the scientific researches said on how the magnetic bangles could helps in gaining some health benefits. The basic stuff is, when you place it onto your wrist, the magnet could affect the iron that is circulating thru the blood and hence could fasten the rate of the flow. The faster the flow of our blood then the faster the oxigen that is in our blood gets to everywhere in the entire body! I’m no Doctor, but more oxigens must be a good news!

Feb 9,2008 - Last weekend i went snowboarding along with my other 15 Malaysians colleague in Stevens. It was my second time after a whole year waiting for it! I thought that i was already good at it since i know how to brake! Yeah! All it takes to master snowboarding is to know how to brake using your heel and your toes! If you’re facing forward then you have to use heel brakes and if you’re facing backward then you’ll have to use toe brakes! It’s just the opposites of one another. Sounds fairly easy but proved to be hellish difficult when you’re on the field. It took me about 80 falls on my butt and 20 diving straight downward using my face! But after all that, you’ll enjoy the fantastic excitement of drifting the snow slope just like in that movie ‘fast n furious’! Not even exaggerating!

meg-pa-snowboard.jpg

The main juice for this entry is not actually about the guidelines for snowboarding, but it is to tell you readers about my experience of overcoming the fear of handling a 60degree downhill slope with just a cup of hot cocoa! Don’t get what’s the big deal with 60degree slope??

Well, imagine a 10degree slope first and the distance that it can throw off a snowboarder when he or she slipped and drop head on first. well i could say about 5 meters away from where he or she originally slipped. That could probably give some minor bruises. Now, compare that with 60degree!! Abso-DAMN-lutely 50 meters cowabangga babey!! That’s exactly how i screamed(monotonously) with my jaws open wide.

Speaking of how i screamed, let me backtrack and rephrase on how i get to see the 60degree slope. Well, i have my own 5 guys team. We were snowboarding handsomely along the beginner and intermediate level course, when one of the guys suggested to go to a longer intermediate course located further uphills which require us 5 to ride the cable car twice. I refused at first but the majority vote won so i was spontaneously forced to join. So as we arrived at the second cable car’s terminal, me and two of my friends here shared a ride with a yound timid fella that we thought to be noob(newbie). So tease a bit with him in that 10 minutes cable ride saying something about “hey kid! are u sure you can take this intermediate course?” and the young fella went silent. We felt kinda bad for doing what we just did though, Malays huh, what can you do? hahah! But as face forward - WHAAAAATTTTTTTTTTHE FFFFFFFFFFFFFFF!!!!! ARE U KIDDING ME?! WHATS WITH THAT SLOPE!!!! The kid then replied “This is the black diamond course, for expert!”

So we get off the cable car and curse at each other especially to that moron who suggested to take the cable ride. There’s no other way around but downhill, which would kill us! We reached a board which shows the map of the courses and there it says “You’re on the summit!” The wind blew hard as if there was literally a hurricane up there! I was about to cry when we suddenly noticed that there was a lodge for snowboarders to take a break. We hurried there and thank god! They sell hot drinks! No hesitations, i bought a hot cocoa that cost a bloody lots but fortunately worth it! We sat together around a table and stared at each other while sipping on the hot cocoa bit by bit. Our faces were pale because of the coldness. It was then that we started laughing, thinking on how should we go downhill without getting ourselves murdered! Hahah! The hot cocoa really helps a lot, giving us heat on our empty stomache and turning our face back to the norm red.

To our surprise, we saw a bunch of little kids, i’d say around 5 years old, being accompanied by their guardians, and so we thought that it would be crazy for them kids to go all the way up here to take on that slope. We had an idea and so we waited for the kids to make their move. We followed their tracks until we noticed that they weren’t going to the 60degree slope, instead they have gone to another directions which marked ‘blue square’ which means~! INTERMEDIATE COURSE!!! We joyed and we were so determined to make it through that course! We locked ourselves into our equipments and embrace that course, and in that journey downhill, it was the most marvelous feat of snowboard showmanship that we’ve ever performed! We were like side by side, sliding againts each other like drifting cars trying to take on each other! It was beautiful, truly. With all of those demise that almost get my tears leaking, all in the end give us ‘Smokin Sick Stylish Snowboarding!!’
